I have hit the time of year when I get buried under a pile of work before being free for the summer. Fun times. What this means for you guys is that it’ll be hard for me to produce anything of quality in that time, but I’ll do the best I can. Stick with me, okay loyal readers?
Yeah, you! The first person to read this, myself excluded of course, will be the 1500th all-time visitor to this site. Isn’t that insane? It hasn’t even been two years yet, wow. Despite the gravatas of this situation, I don’t really know what to say. But if you think you’re the 1500th, comment! Maybe you will be.
Oh god, did I just make all those puns? Whatever, no time for that now. Are any of you familiar with the name Joss Whedon, loyal readers? I’m sure any of you are. Aside from being a fan of Scott Pilgrim, he’s the creator of (among many other things) Firefly and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. What do these have to do with anything, you ask? Nathan Fillion. Captain Mal Reynolds on Firefly, and Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible, rumors are floating around now that he’s going to play Ant-Man in the upcoming film of the same name. This is exciting news. And with Whedon directing the Avengers movie, it’s entirely possible that he used some influence to get Fillion the role. The upcoming plethora of superhero movies is just getting more interesting by the day.
I’m sure most of you are indifferent to this post, but for everyone else, here’s part two of my Spring Anime Rundown! For those of you just joining us, here’s a link to part one, where I discussed all the new anime this season. This time around, I’m talking about all the longer-running anime that I’m watching. Those of you who read part one will know that I’m discussing four series today, and those of you that read the intervening post will know that I’m actually discussing five, because I discovered Fairy Tail. But enough of this rambling, let’s get to the anime! Read the rest of this entry
Remember me mentioning something neat for today? Well, here it is! This is the first installment of Friday’s Info Hints.
Now, I’m sure many of you are wondering what Friday’s Info Hints is all about. Well, I’m wondering the same thing, actually. See, I was playing around with this anagram site, and I decided to check out the anagrams for Shards of Infinity. When I saw ‘Fridays info hints’, I decided to make it into a post! So, here now here we are. I dunno, I guess I’ll give you guys five quick stories, or something? Yeah, let’s go with that. Read the rest of this entry
I don’t have part two of my Spring Anime Rundown done yet, but I’d like to tell you guys that I’ve added Fairy Tail to the list of shows for it, and that I went back to the first post, and added in download links, a link to the Heroman trailer, and a link to a song from Angel Beats!. I actually didn’t add the Heroman link, so I’m gonna go do that now….done. Stay tuned, loyal readers, I should have part two up in a day or so! Oh, and I have something neat planned for Friday.
Okay, so you probably don’t remember, but I said something about reviewing some anime a while back. But rather than doing comprehensive reviews of a couple of series, I’ve decided to do small reviews of everything I’m watching this season. That said, I’m currently watching eight things, so I’m going to divide this affair up into two parts. In this first part, I’ll discuss the new series I’m watching, and I’ll cover the on-going ones in part two. So read on for my reviews of Heroman, Angel Beats!, Katanagatari, and Tegami Bachi. Some sharp-thinking readers may have been expecting this, but I was hesitant to announce it before it actually happened:
Shards of Infinity has gone ONE MONTH without a viewless day.
Stop for a minute and consider that. One month. Four weeks. Thirty days. Isn’t that amazing? That’s amazing. That is just mind-blowing. You have officially blown my mind, loyal readers. AWESOME readers. Am I repeating things? I’m repeating things. I am repeating things because my mind is just so totally and completely blown. It feels like barely yesterday we were dancing in the streets to celebrate a mere two weeks of this, and now it’s suddenly a month’s worth.
As I see it, there are two main culprits in this event. The first, as I have mentioned before, is Matsu. The traffic I’ve gotten from Deck of Jokers has inflated both my pageviews and my ego. One of these things is good, the other is not so good, but I keep it under control. The other is probably the four posts of super–awesome.
SO, an event this momentous has to be accompanied by site news, doesn’t it? I… really hadn’t put much prior thought into this.
The only really new thing I have is that I added a link to the sidebar. It’s to Sfeer Theory, a relatively young webcomic that I chanced upon. And by relatively young, I mean it has an archive of just 5 pages. A great choice for anyone who hates reading through massive archives (these people are not me, I read through ALL of the archives, even when it’s pointless and futile, like Dinosaur Comics). I suppose it detracts from the exclusivity of Deck of Jokers in my link section, but more links equals more readers, or something…Right?
OH, here’s another one! I haven’t gotten around to this, but I’m going to re-design the About page so that it doesn’t suck as hard as it does now. A daunting task, if ever there was one. Stay tuned for the finished product.
Aaaaand, that’s about it for now. Honestly, though. A month? You guys are the best. Keep being the best, loyal readers.
